Hi all

My 72csl was delivered to German new and had a replacemt radio about 20 years ago.
I would like to return the radio to stock and wandered what brand/model it should have. I have seen different brands in them.

Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Here is my '72 with it's original radio:

It's a Becker Europa Stereo, they also came with Blaupunkts but I am not sure which model is appropriate for 72 and were dealer installed in the USA. Did European CSL's even come with a stereo originally? Or a city pack option?

Possibly a Blaupunkt Frankfurt with German text.

Kinda wish I still had mine (USA version), but I know it went to a good home.

Here are some possibilities............

BTW, I have some on stock, in price range from 75€ to 200€, but dont ask me, what modell or condition, have to take a look.......

I just roll down my windows and listen to the "music" from my 72 csl! Just like it came from the factory with no radio. {:>) RB

It's been installed in my coupe ever since. It's nice because it's the later stereo model that supports 4 speakers. Thanks Shanon.

Knobs

Stan/Rod/Orangener (second radio)

Out of curiosity, did the knobs on your radio, which look like all the rest of the various interior knobs) come with the radio? Or are they OE BMW knobs retrofitted to the radio?

Thanks

Bought them from Oldtimer Radio in Germany

They came on dealer installed Blaupunkts. They can be modified to fit Beckers which is what i did.
