Hi all,
Looking for a couple shoulder bolts and 4 of those "centering" plastic washers for the rear seat belt mounting hardware. Does anyone have something laying around? IMG_20210525_175654148.jpg

STRONGLY recommend you have the webbing on your belts replaced for safety reasons

The belts are getting installed purely out of OCD driven need to complete the look. There's not a chance anyone is fitting in that back seat!

Reach out to bluedevil on this forum, he does a beautiful job on seat belts and just an all around saint. He may have some. The nylon washers can be found at Lowe's also.

Found the bolts. They are off an E21 but I believe they are the same. They are yours if you want them. PM me. No spacers--sorry.

Yes, the manufacturer's useful life rating on the webbing was 25 years.

Guys, how beneficial are the original rear set belts in the event of an accident anyway?
In my car they are only fixed at two points.
I accept that the webbing could have decayed a little and also the stitching, but will they get the force to damage them rather than let the occupant slide out?
This just got me thinking, so I thought I’d ask your views?

That's my theory, I have 2 point for front and rear. Statistically speaking I'll take my chances with old webbing.

I understand why some might feel comfortable replacing everything just for peace of mind.

The early 70s was "dartboard" safety guessing at best.

Thanks beam 318! Now I'm only looking for those somewhat speciality stepped washers that isolate the seat belt ring from the bolt.
