WTB D-Jet fuel pressure regulator

I don't see why you couldn't replace your fuel rail with one out of an L-Jet car and use the L-Jet fuel pressure regulator. At least that one is available. It is 2.5 bar, I don't know what the D-Jet uses.

D-jet is 2 bar (+/- .1) Seems like a good idea to replace the fuel bar and regulator with L-jet if the pressure can be adjusted. I thought the L-jet system ran on much more pressure than the D-jet system (according to jetronic.org.) I'll keep that in mind....thanks.

Pretty rare part.

I’m sending one I owe to OCCoupe tomorrow .
You can check with him if it is for sale

Bill,

I know there's a 2.5 bar regulator as used in the 1979-81 528i and also the 82 528e.

528/630 series are vacuum regulated, D-jet is constant 2.0 bar (no vacuum.) Anyway, Parts Geek and Rock Auto out of stock. Thanks for the ideas...but if there are any more ideas, I am open. Thanks.

one was shipped yesterday to OCCoupe- Did you ask him???

He responded to my post (twice) by suggesting L-jet parts might work...didn't say he had one for sale.

Would it be possible to cast the net wider and look for parts from any D jet equipped car - contemporary Merc, Volvo etc?

Do you want me to email him?
I can ask for you or maybe you can just send him a PM

Jet fuel pressure regulator
I got real excited about finding one. And then I realized it wasn't a regulator for jet fuel. :(
