Hi,

Looking to buy moulding lower left/right. They dont need to be in perfect condition (car needs to be restored but before that I would like to make it complete and take it for a spin) as long they are not all bent and twisted...

Looking in Europe due to high shipping cost from oversease

Thanks

W&N part numbers left side A51131810559 and ...560 right side. ~ 260 euro's together. Mind you you also need 12 clips (A51131400004, 12 euros) to attach them.

As Eric wrote - it will be better to purchase them as NOS at W&N.
1. Used in good usable condition are more rare than the new one, the prices are also not too attractive - 20-30% less.
2. You need to hurry up, because BMW Europe don't have left side at all and W&N have very limited stock of Left.
Know that because about a month ago i was also looking for them and at first i asked my local BMW dealer. In BMW online store parts catalogue it might look like they are still in stock, but in fact after placing an order it showed that part is unavailable.

then look at the tricks you need to attach as they are not as stock and the inner lip is too tight to catch so you need to shim out the clips

Looking to buy lower molding for left side... from Europe due to transport costs.

I didn't have to shim them out, with W&N mouldings + W&N plastic clips.
But be sure to put a socket behind/under the rocker cover right where the clip is when you push down to attach the moulding to the clip to avoid damaging the rocker cover, you need to push hard.

i had no issues with the new white clips from BMW on old rocker covers and NOS sill trims.

in the USA, the left side part number is good ... and BMW says to use that for both sides. BMW NA has had the right side as NLA for years. oh by the way, W+N has jumped their price for this piece significantly of late. less than a month ago they were 85 euro ... now double.

NLA at BMW in Germany as well... looking to get used one at least to complete the car drive it a one season than restore it

I've purchased both sides at the beginning of July, below PrtSc of my bill (with 23% VAT)
Before i made order i asked Mr Walloth - WTF with price of Left side, told him that in June it was 103 EUR. He just answered that the price never be the same as before and that they have very limited stock of Left. So i didn't hesitate with the order.
Now Left is NLA and probably Right is limited stock that's why they raised the price.

well i just learned from a BMW NA dealer that they have gone NLA and cannot be ordered here. i just ordered 2 of the ones available from W+N. so now there are fewer left. i think it is better to have 2, even if 1 doesn't match the angle perfectly than to have 1 new and one old. the price for the ones i bought were 159.62 (without VAT)

the prices i mentioned are without VAT ... that would be the difference (from 83.xx + 101 euro).

i just heard back from Lisa Disaia (BMW of Warwick),
"These show as still available but there is no stock. One of them as an eta of this month but the other is august of 2018. "

Still looking to buy lower molding for left side... used new no matter just to have it on the car for 1 year.

I prefer it form Europe due to transport costs.

i have read in this forum that BMW deleted one side years ago and they used the one that they still have for both sides. the angle of difference is so slight.
