Has anybody got, or know where to source these in white?
I'm talking about the little plastic bracket mounts that locate the sun visor, allowing for it to swing outward or pivot upward.

Wes.

I cannot see them on W&N. I am looking for two as well. I will happily buy a few and send them over snail mail. They cannot be that expensive.

Sorry for the red herring. I just went back to check and can't find them there any longer either. GL.

You are talking about the hinge not the receptacles right? I read this as needing the hinge. Someone recommended that I make them so I assumed that they are NLA. I haven’t researched yet.

Ok now I think Wes means the receptacles but I am honestly not sure. Wes?

Yeah, I'm talking about the plastic pivots that take two screws, Rob has provided the link for them.

Looking at that link it looks like there is some demand for them. The RH one in my car is different to the LH one, both are broken.
Makes me think that perhaps this part can be sourced from other BMW models. Having a hunt around online it looks like the set up is very similar on an E30.
My E30 is in storage or I'd go do a compare and contrast myself.
Otherwise we might need your 3D printing skills :)

Ahh got it. As mentioned another user suggested that I create them. For the record I have no 3D printing or modeling skills - just ideas. :)

"Experience is what you get 5 minutes after you actually needed it." :)
They do look a little more complicated on a second look, given the metal backing plate that some of them have - my LH one is cast from one piece of alloy while the RH one is plastic with the metal plate.
If we cant print them I reckon sourcing them from a later BMW may be an option - might run this down as could be our best bet.

I found a solution for this issue.
E21's have the same mounting bracket as do Kombi vans from the same period.
Was able to source a pair from a specialist wreckers.
They are a perfect fit.
Hope this helps fellow members that also need to find a pair.

Can you post pictures? Or are the _exactly_ the same?

The same as the broken ones in my car. I'm of course operating on the assumption they were the original ones.
My broken ones were made of plastic.
The diameter for the shaft is the same as for my E9 visor, as is the securing mechanism on the end of the shaft.
Hope this makes sense.
