Hey Mark, the one in your photo above is not like the BMW one I am looking at
I can / will CAD model the thing, but I am trying to figure out how to measure the angle accurately

I haven't invested in modeling this one despite the suggestion. They would really need to be CNC machined to be effective and strong.


I searched around a bit this morning. Porsche 912 and some of the VW pivot points are similar, but I didn't find any direct matches. I didn't find any specific Type 2 Kombi hits.

There was a forum member that made some of these in brass several years back but I don't know the method. I don't think he logs in anymore.

I was thinking that it would be possible to cast these in brass and then to some minimal machining to clean them up. It's on my list of projects to get to.
Aluminum would probably work as well and melts 500°F lower.

My son is casting aluminum and brass in the backyard for fun
I will see if I can get him to make some
