Se hai pazienza, controllo la misura e poi ti dico come acquistare, puoi darmi la misura del foro dove va inserito? in millimetri, non voglio smontare il mio per controllare, potrebbe rompersi, la plastica fa questi brutti scherzi quando invecchia

If you're patient, I'll check the size and then tell you how to buy. Can you give me the size of the hole where it should be inserted? in millimeters, I don't want to take mine apart to check, it could break, plastic plays these tricks when it gets old.

Quello che ho trovato, che ho mostrato nelle foto in precedenza, non è buono, la sezione dell'asta prevista è di 8 mm, mentre quella per la BMW è di 6 mm. se guardi le punte da trapano da 6 mm si allenta, non tiene l'albero. mentre l'albero che vi entra è come la punta del trapano da 8 mm. Spero che la traduzione sia chiara, il mio inglese non è eccellente. se non hai fretta troverò la soluzione

What I found, which I showed in the photos earlier, is not good, the intended rod section is 8mm, while the one for the BMW is 6mm. if you look at the 6mm drill bits it comes loose, it doesn't hold the shaft. while the shaft that goes into it is like the 8mm drill bit. I hope the translation is clear, my English is not excellent. if you are not in a hurry I will find the solution

See below, one is a carb csl that was sold recently, and one is an alpina b2s as shown in octane magazine.

Looking closely at the bonnet rod, you can see on both cars, it mounts mid / mid on the bonnet.
Second pic shows a black plastic (receiver) bit mid/mid , but is very hard to make out.
Does anyone have a picture of this particular mount , confirm its position, and is there anyway we can confirm if this was orginal on a carb csl.
Looking at this thread, given the holder, which is used to retain the rod when not in use, was plastic, may make sense a plastic receiver was original on a carb csl?

Mario’s post with Golf CSL looks correct.
I cannot find a picture of the rod receiver as mounted on the boot or bonnet?
Do you mean the part on the hood and trunk itself? The hood had an L shaped bracket attached by rivets or maybe small screws with a hole for the L shaped end of prop rod to go thru and held by a spring clip.

Chris, has that been confirmed by a pic from Mario / do you have a pic of the setup / where it mounts? does not match what is in the pictures I posted to you.. which are 2 separate carb csls (in theory)...
