Zen and the black art of triple Weber tuning (and other lessons learned along the way)

The wiring harness with Don's cooling/A/C new system has a way of powering up a solenoid when the compressor is on, but I have not found the correct switch or a place to mount it,even after looking at Steve's pics from before. Once we get the carbs sorted, I will work on that. For now, Heel/toe on the brake & accelerator is my method of keeping up the revs.

If want to use original parts...something like the setup on the original twin carbs

You'd need an extra arm on the cross linkage bar for the vacuum pod to contact.
The support bracket mounts between two manifold studs on its original use.
Hook an electric vac control valve in vac supply tube that is activated by the ac (Don's provision)
If want a not so visible simpler solution you could use a solenoid plunger as an adjustable "stop" on the lower linkage pivot bracket on side of block may do the trick.

Steve and all Webber users.
After a couple years my webbers are still running well. Steve was a big help with the tunning.
I drove to Euro Festival in Greenville 2 weeks ago which is 140 miles one way. Car ran great at up to 80 with a few runs to 90.
It always take a bit to warm up. Checked my AFR gauge a few times at cruise. Always 12.5-13.5
I left with a full tank and made it to Clemson on the way home to Atlanta before a stop for gas. 275 miles. Got 23 mpg.
They do stay in tune.
I checked my plugs and running some rich but I like the power.
Plugs have become hard to find for a hot motor like mine. Bosch and NGK don't have hot enough plugs with removable screw tops.
Running Champion N11YC. Even they could be a little hotter.
As the availability of screw tops plugs becomes more of a problem I may change my wire ends to conventional push on connectors.
There were some nice cars at Euro Festival but only about 12 early cars. <1985 But probably 60 BMW's
I have other cars that keep me busy so sorry for not following as much any more.
Thanks again Steve for all your help.
Gary
