I like the idea of using expandable foam. It is used so much in luxury cars nowadays. I like that engine too!

I used the foam in the pedal box area, too, to eliminate the big hump, letting the carpet lay smooth.

Paul, no firewall modification was necessary.

tferrer, the wood was replaced with a thin, bendable sheet of machine -turned metal.

does that M88 engine needs a "speed" signal to his ECU as it gets it from the diff in a oem M5 ? which of course you don't have in a E9 diff.
