    1974 3.0 CS With M88 Engine (3.5 CSM)

Sure thing. The car spends time in Atlanta and in Columbus, OH at my father's house, depending on how she's running. Couple of shots: I'll be at Sharkfest with my M635CSi!

    M30B35 Throttle Linkage Adjustment

@Ohmess, gotcha. That must be what it is! Thanks for all the advice boys! I'm going to adjust the rod length a touch and then start gathering the correct parts.

    M30B35 Throttle Linkage Adjustment

It's just not QUITE hitting the idle adjustment screw. ALMOST hits it. When I pull the link up so that I stops against the idle adjustment screw, it idles at a perfect 700ish.

    M30B35 Throttle Linkage Adjustment

HB Chris, I think this setup has it using the lock screw at the top on the throttle body? The L bracket at the bottom isn't even remotely close. I did lubricate everything and it just won't return quite all the way to the idle adjustment screw on the throttle body. I think I need to...

    M30B35 Throttle Linkage Adjustment

sfdon, the PO removed the stop there when he swapped the engine. I believe the throttle stop is at the top on the FI throttle body in this setup.

    M30B35 Throttle Linkage Adjustment

Hey fellas, I went to drive the car this morning and after warming up, the car seems to stick at 2,200 rpm. Weird! So I investigate and the throttle linkage does not seem to be returning to rest on the adjustor screw: When I lift it back up, all is well and usual. The springs seem to be...

    Shop Recommendation, Columbus OH

Gentlemen, I am the owner of a 1972 3.0CS Euro. Previously, I took the car to Tom Hatem Automotive in Columbus. Sadly, Mr. Hatem has passed away. I am looking for a shop in Columbus or the greater Columbus area that has some familiarity with the e9 or vintage BMWs. If anyone could point me in...

Wiper Madness Electrical Mystery - Car Won't STOP

Well, that's got a bunch of stuff. Seems to be headlights, brake warning light, parking light (l and r), etc. Basically, everything that comes on when you turn the key to the on position.

Wiper Madness Electrical Mystery - Car Won't STOP

Checked the load shedding relay, it appears to work as expected. On the bench, bridging the control pins creates continuity across the voltage pins. When I remove the voltage it closes as expected. I did notice that when I'm in the weird error condition, pushing the wiper stock makes the load...

Wiper Madness Electrical Mystery - Car Won't STOP

Unless I hit the wiper button, everything works as expected. The wiper relay under the dash is disconnected, so I don't think it's part of my problem. In the fault condition, everyone has power, including the ECU.

Wiper Madness Electrical Mystery - Car Won't STOP

Hey guys, I was hoping you could help me track down this last mystery on my e9. I have a 1972 with a fuel injected B30 out of a mid-80s 5er. I've managed to track down and repair all the issues (even my rear fog light!) except for the last one: Wiper Madness. Here's the situation: 1. Car off...

    Center Side Panel Restoration

Those panels look absolutely great. Unfortunately, I don't think I've got the talent necessary to pull it off myself. What was the original substrate? Is it wood? Some other sort of fiberboard material?

    Door Trim Info

Hey Fellas, I'm looking for item #8 from the diagram. It's the strip that starts at the base of the A-pillar, travels up the a-pillar around the top of the window and looks like it stops around the rear window. Any measurements or pictures would be great. I'd like to get a substitute...

    Center Side Panel Restoration

Guys, Is there a specialist out there that can redo the side panels on my center console? I have a non-A/C '72. The interior guy absolutely nailed the interior, with the exception of the center panels. They're now too thick and will not rest inside the proper slot in the dash. I've gone...

    Door Trim Info

Hey guys, Would anyone be able to take a couple of pictures and measurements for #8 in their car. I still have been unable to source an original and am going to contact some of the aftermarket guys to see if they have one that matches or maybe could even do a small run for us. The window...

    Door Trim Info

Ah okay. The car is currently at my upholstery guy getting a little tune up in the console. He deals with a number of cars* there so I'll see if he might know a substitute. I'd really like to find something that is made of the more flexible material rather than rubber. I don't like having to...

    Door Trim Info

Hey guys, I'm talking about the rubber piece that starts at the bottom of the a-pillar and goes up and around the window frame. It goes between the body of the car and the window when the door is shut. I believe it is #8 in the diag-OHMYGOD$400

    Door Trim Info

Hey Gary, Thanks, that's awesome. I just ordered the doors and can't wait to get that on there. Found your old thread and noticed my bumpers were missing as well. The piece that I'm really keen to replace is the large piece that goes from the a-pillar back to the rear windows. That's...
