Thanks Bert, don't know how that got by me, which part #9 or #10? Kind of hard to tell from that drawing, or is your answer in your post....#9?

    Chrome Rear Window exterior sill

Hmmm, okay, I'll take into account. I have the original pieces but as you can see from my profile picture from where I started, the body work that was done with donor panels was not performed to my liking. The body shop did a horrible job with the trunk bottom and connection to the rear ledge...

No, the chrome part shown here along the bottom of the rear side glass opening. Can't find a part number for it.

    Chrome Rear Window exterior sill

Anybody know the part number of the exterior rear window sills? The ones that swoop up as the hokey stick. I v'e looked everywhere on the RealOEM site and can't seem to find them. I would consider buying a set if any one has them.

    Underbody airflow

I don't think the base coupe is very aerodynamically efficient. The bubble canopy and erect windshield are no help. The Group 4 and 5 body "enhancements" surely improved it, but I haven't seen any underbody aero work on any other than the ducts for cooling the front brakes. The engine...

    Another Texan

Oh I bet you like A/C, Bryan/College Station is hotter than hell! Well truth be told, here in Northern Virginia it gets almost as hot but only for a few weeks, it's been in the mid eighties for the last couple of days and first part of September the heat and humidity will dissipate and weather...

    '72 Restomod

Yea, I'm was confused, your sequence of pictures lead me to believe you ground the valve edge to solve the problem. But I see, the top of piston was hitting the edge of the heads inner combustion chamber and the valve just happened to get ground as it was within the circumference of the sanding...

    '72 Restomod

Wait, I'm not convincedealing the valves won't spin even with the collet always in keeping pressure on the valve shafts. Too many other moving parts in the valve train to keep it from spinning. Wouldn't it have been better to modify the pistons instead?

Favorite BMW model according to people working for the company

Uh. No, the M1 is #1, with a few others maybe the coupe #2, the original M3 for the package, maybe #3. I fell in love with the e9 in '83, it took 5 years to find it in the days of no internet and circumstances in life.
