Thanks, will do.
Here did you get (or will get) the chrome plating done?
All stainless, chrome and aluminum was refurbished by Sihilling metal polishing in CA. The only trim not done was the rear tail light panel, windshield and back window surrounds and interior roof trim. These were already in exceptional condition.
People on yelp like them
They don't seem to have a website
They don't, but they do a huge business and great work. Here are the rechromed housings and new lenses from Stan.
They also can rechrome pot metal where other shops won’t touch that stuff. They have done several license plate frames for me and can even weld them if needed.
All new chrome, rubber etc
that looks great! did you have the bumpers replated? If you did can you tell me how much it cost? you can PM me
Yes every part on the car. Bumpers should be about 1300.
1300 for the front and rear and the over riders?
I will call them today, about some motorcycle parts
Cant remember exactly, but close to that with over riders.
thanks Gary, I just called, had to leave a message, wish they had an email
I have searched for a
Sihilling Metal Polishing
and find a
Sihilling Charles Metal Polishing
1018 E Chestnut Ave (990.49 mi)
Santa Ana, California 92701
is that the place?
Considering a center console?
No, just waiting on OEM parts being recovered in leather.
Gary, this is looking friggin excellent! keep it going
Thanks. Way bigger job than I anticipated. Slow going.
Contrary to popular belief the s38 does fit in the E9 without modifying the firewall in any way. I will however have to rethink using the 92 S38 coolant setup with a swap to the older 88 E28 setup for adequate radiator clearance.
