THE TUNER is coming tomorrow to get started on the hookup
and luckily hes familiar with the link unit which will save me a ton of work
as i would have had to pull out the whole harness for the unit
its tied in to everything
bought a fuel pump control module
so he can set that in there somewhere.

I would personally go into this next exercise with the expectation that you may have issues with your harness. The tuner will not just be tuning. He will be chasing down gremlins. This will cost money. If he has issues or struggles to get it running, he is not an idiot. He is facing challenges outside of the scope of tuning. :)

I bring this up because you were quite hard on your last mechanic, at least on the forum. He is a well respected technician.

not so fast
-his so called reputation if something to be desired
he had the car for a month- and actual tasks that were done was nothing more than
adjusting the valves-i gave him 3500 to start with and thats all i got
after waiting all that time when i went over there and he 3500 more -whoops
and he does have a reputation from 3 other people that had dealings with him
all he did for them was waste time and ask for more money
so my experience with him so say
was not a good one
so onward and enuff about that guy.
ive called the people that have henry do work on there cars and all the comments were
great. so i feel quite comfortable
well know tomorrow.
the harness i realy quite simple as set up now
the cam crank sensors , injectors, water, oil sensors, fuel , start, relays. exhaust pickups.
thats it so far.
so whats needed is the air flow sensors. which i got today and a few other things to be determined.

I honestly wish you the best of luck @aearch. You had an equally glowing response before engaging with Bill Watson, who has a long-standing shop at Sonoma Raceway with positive reviews. I don’t know how you can go into this endeavor assuming that your simple harness won’t need tweaking. Just go easy on the guy. It’s your thread, I will say no more.

Playing catch up for your readers. Bill Watson has been the care taker of M49-powered 1976 Sebring winning car #25.

earlier - guess my additional effort payed off this time
to find these people
was thinkin of using this air box instead of the earlier type which is a big tank type
it my be thinner by a bit so as to furthur clear the brake booster.
asked for the dims to find out.

Reply to candia-- i dont know what the hp is although i can figure and post in a bit.
hi steve -thats a great avatar -as thats what seems to be happin on this monster.

The Sport rebuild ups compression to 11.5 to 1. I would guess that to be good for upwards of 325 HP with an exhaust cam gear, chip and Euro headers.
SO WITH MY 11:1 AND THE EURO HEADERS
and i think he redid the valve setup also i would figure its quite near the
350 hp as thats what logan-- who i spoke might tune it
said it should be.

LOOKS LIKE ILL HAVE TO PULL THe back two air horns to fit the box.
maybe the newer style will fit easier - i guess buy it and use that one as i dont think it matters which one i use.
GETTING a real bit tired of all this back and forth or ==hack and forth ha
yes i suppose it would be easier to use the motronic and the matching harness,
yet id first have to find them -then pull all the existing out an then reinstall the new
(old) oem.
ill just have to see if this person really knows what hes doing
then i can make an informed decision.
