This is as I suspected,

I have all the sill panels and am ordering in the guard area metal to replace the top of the guards. This will be done KD.

Thanks for the advice Dirk, I will replace 3 & 7. I can see what you mean.

the rest of the panels are quite straight...

the adventure continues...

more photos to follow.

Update

Hi All,

thanks for all the advice on guards and restoration... after a long process of cutting out upper and inner guards including A-Frames, I think we have gotten to the heart of the problem.... now ready for the undercoat....

Cheers

Update

Hi All,

update from my project is - undercoat done and finally a layer of colour to the engine bay and trunk (we call them boots in my country....). Lustre of the silver in the engine bay is quite nice. Body should be painted in the next week.

Cheers

Last day at the body shop (for a while at least) all panels fitted and hinges etc fixed and set...

All looking rather shiney... its on its way to the mechanics tomorrow for all the other shiney bits to go onto it...

More to come.

Hi All,

its in the shop, and front and rear axle and assemblies are taking place... We are using the old wheels and brakes instead of the new wilwoods and alpinas  but it makes life easier so as to get the car rolling and into the trimmers to get the hood lining sorted and the glass in.(as we prepare for a wet winter..)

More pictures to follow,

Cheers

Beautiful work. Looking forward to seeing the completed car. What colour are your Sun Visors? Will this be a Blue interior?

Bob.

more... photos...

More photos....

Sunvisors and interior head linings are white, carpets are anthricite (grey) and seats are grey velour like cloth....

Anyhow, before during and after shots of the motor... any RHD e9 owners put in Fritz Bits extractors? any modifications required for steering box clearance - looks a little close to me!!

Cheers

As others have said, great work and documentation. What is the setup of your Engine? specifically Distributor, jets, cam?
