After taking some time off from the project this summer, got back at it today, The airbox that I have been waiting for is nearly finished , so I test fit the thing to make sure its ready

Cool airbox! Have you considered cutting 15mm or so off the leading edge of the airbox. That would give the engine some room to move.

Question: the left side shot of the monster airbox makes it look like it's right up against the inner clutch (or brake fluid) reservoir, suggesting interference if the motor rocks at all.... Can the motor be bolted on so tight it won't rock and hit the reservoir?

Correct the engine is not going to move even a fraction of a millimeter , if it does Ive got bigger issues . The engine along with the entire drive train in solid mounted , for that mater everything in the car is solid mounted there is zero rubber .

Hi Bdigel, I have been following your build thread and it is very interesting as i have almost the same car.. started with an old 2800 CS and now have my Gitanes Batmobile.. I use it in club events.. The comments i have are that i have used almost an identical rack and pinion setup in my car as you and the problem i had was that to get the steering as quick as it needed to be it was very difficult to drive as the steering required a LOT of effort.. even on the track.. I have now put power steering on it and it is a massive improvement. My car uses the single cam engine but the rest is almost identical to yours although mine is RHD...I also had a photo shoot done with a budding young photographer and two of the photos are some of his work.. The last photo shows under the hood.. Thats me with the Petronas jacket!!

Hi Robert--You HAVE to love a flared, blue e9. Lovely car and I'm sure I speak for others when I say, please post a seperate thread with more information on your car...
