It’s bin a while since my last update, but again some progress the last few months.

I have my engine finally back, it is really an amazing engine to watch given its potential and how ‘fresh’ it now looks like!

Took a bit longer due to issues with the oil pump. Needed to source several and the oil stick didnt go through the hole because I use a e24 style oil pan. And because the rubber stick guide is not available anymore we made something ourselves.

Refurbished also some parts, like the rear axles, clutch slave cylinder, window lifters, heating unit/radiator and fan like Eric also described in his DIY post.

Latest thing is the steering column, the raptor 2k coating mentioned somewhere here on the forum I can really recommend! Very satisfied with the result

Does anyone recognize where these bushings belong to actually? Made a lot of pictures with disassembly but forgot these two. Was it for the gas pedal as on the photo or the clutch/brake pedals? Thx!

It is for the gas pedal, it fits into the booster mount with a plastic bushing on each side. When the bushings wear out the pedal gets sloppy and will squeak.

Thanks Chris, do we or you have a picture of that here on the forum? Did a check via the search option, found one with a guide on top of the pedal assembly were it looks like to have my bushings. But my pedal assembly does not have this welded on guide?

Look in the engine bay at the booster mount, it rotates the long arm that attaches to the horizontal rod to the bell crank and then to vertical to the carbs.

Item #4, yours might be from 10/73 and on although I don’t know what changed.
