Poor over is an art all by itself. My 21 year old is into Pour Over coffee. Apparently there is a lot to it.
My machine is on, I’ll make you my go to drink. This thread is making want to learn to like coffee!
If this drink doesn’t get you to learn to like coffee, I don’t know what will . It’s the smoothest drinking coffee when made right. Hard to make right unfortunately.
here is the usual owner of an europiccola....
I'm inspired and depressed at the same time. I love coffee and was looking for a cappuccino machine recently. Unable to find anything not made in the "Orient" I had given up. Then this appeared and I'm on the hunt again! Thanks DeQ
Best machine we have ever had. Schaefer Siena-2. Swiss made. Very expensive but worth it. 7676 coffees so far.We have had a Jura z7 for about 10 years. It makes coffee 92% as good as the best barista I know in Madrid. It has functioned flawlessly for nearly 10,000 cups. Zero repairs and zero maintenance parts! We use filtered/soft water in the machine, which I think is important . The cost was high ($2k or 20 cents a cup), but the convenience in our busy lives more than makes up for the cost and the less-than-perfect coffee.
i think of it as a BMW E70D versus my all manual E9. While it would be fun to have a classic espresso press, that’ll have to wait till I’m retired and looking for ways to kill time.

My 19.8 year old also recently discovered pour over. She thinks it’s something new to the market...My 21 year old is into Pour Over coffee. Apparently there is a lot to it.
Only twice the price of a comparable Jura, but maybe it bridges that last 10% in coffee perfection?Schaerer Siena-2
It’s so good that the result is we drink more.Thank goodness for Costco Starbucks espresso ️Only twice the price of a comparable Jura, but maybe it bridges that last 10% in coffee perfection?

The process is part of the reward.Rex, i like this one: “Espresso is like tuning an old set of Solexs , either you know and you’re a master mechanic, or you’re learning”
point is that with coffee it is usually a certain level of chaos, say better uncertainty, i am unable to make good (to my taste) coffee every day, sometimes is regular, sometimes good, and sometimes excellent
you never know in advance
maybe it is part of the joy, i accept and love with it
