Electric fuel pump to prime carbs

You might want a metal u bend to make sure the hose doesn't pinch off.
Below is just an example;

That U bend is a good idea. Especially if it can also serve as the 5/16 to 1/4 transition.
Cutting the wings off won't help since the pump is simply bigger at the input side since that's where the two halves of the case at joined.

Can you run hose all the way around the tank and mount the pump in the right rear corner?
Thinking this might allow for mounting the pump and eliminating the hose bend.

I want to install a electric fuel pump,
I can put the new wires in to the harness, because I´m restoring the harness now,
How will be the correct electric diagram for that?

That's... a really good idea. I think an extra foot of hose is better than 2 U bends. I want to replace one of the hose clamps anyway since I ran short and used an old one.

As for wiring, you can see opinions and ideas earlier in the thread. There is a timed relay that can be used to run the pump automatically for 3 seconds or so at power on, which would allow you to use pretty much any switched 12V.

This solution makes good sense to me. So you just cut the fuel line running to the carb and slotted the pump inline?
Yes but it isn't necessary to cut the original line, just insert the pump and add a new section to the T-piece.
