BTW - i just looked up the 2002 and you can get a chromed gas cap - non-locking for 17.06 euro (16111105835) and a chromed locking for 30.17 euro (16111103603) - no VAT.

I tried my 2002 locking gas cap on my E9 and found it was a different size.

2002 is much larger, NK, e3 and e9 share the same smaller cap.

You can’t swap gas cap with the oil intake.
For the oil intake, this is a nice shinny one.

2002 gas cap is too large for that as well, Keshav has the solution.

I thought there might be an older-style one like Lloyd's:

A little trivia. New BMW oil caps will fit all BMWs back to the 60s if you accidentally lose your correct oil cap for your vintage BMW.
