Greetings from Mexico - Polarissilber 2800 CS with Schnitzer engine

I would certainly delete the side markers! And the antenna on the hood. Most are on the trunk and when collapsed/telescoped almost diasppear.

Lovely car. The Webers are cool car porn.

I'll pick up the car next week and will post more pictures then so I can have more suggestions about what to do next.

Welcome to the forum. Your engine bay looks amazing, those tripple webers are...always fun to see. Interesting spacing of the air filters. I presume that the air inlets were custom made for just that purpose.

Thank you. I believe that you're correct and that everything was custom built as it looks like a good quality work.

After a 43 year stint with the previous owner, I finally picked her up and now have more pictures.

The Petri wheels looks very good although the wooden work screams for a Nardi. Thoughts?

At some stage, someone thought it was cooler to display a 3.0 badge, I have found the proper one on Ebay. The tail pipes also do not look good. Any ideas?

The engine at 80 MPH seems responsive and the sound with the window down is simply great. I need to work on the brake balance to be able to confidently push her harder, same thing with the front suspension as the shocks feel a bit tired.

Now it will be stored for a few days. Happy Holidays!

I think the Petri wheel is just right. It matches the rest of the black trim in the car and is nicely understated. If you used a wood rimmed wheel, it would have to be a perfect match to the existing wood or it would look out of place (to me).

A beautiful car and I'm glad you got it home!

I bought my Nardi awhile ago from a store that had about 20 on display. I brought in my speaker grille to select the best match with the original dash. I have yet to install the new dash I bought from Bela a few years ago but knew the browner vs red hue would drive me crazy so switched to the Petri in advance.

I just received a nice surprise. It is amazing how sourcing something through Ebay from the other end of the world (Latvia), can be so simple these days.

Thanks for the info on the tailpipe and also for the input about the Petri so it will stay, I actually like it very much. There is this local upholstery shop doing quality work with leather and I wonder if wrapping the wheel is in order (I know that the one for the CSL is leather covered but maybe with a thinner core).
