Great job and well performed as usual with your E9.
But I would like to see more of your garage. Like a lot of us, we have other old beauties to work with.
Kind of E9s are simple but expensive cars to renovate.
Can I leave the special powders inside so the headlights keep getting clean as I drive?
thank you,
no more old cars in my garage, only bikes, ....yeah ...and this too:
I love that bike!
I am always SO JEALOUS of folks that are outside the U.S. that can go down to the local
I've got an Italian import so it has H1's, not H4's and seems to have the European running lights. What do I buy for replacement bulbs?
Superb Write up and documentation. I have 1 new headlight and three slightly yellowed ones. Will try your tip. Is this just Glass bead you used? I suppose blowing it out with air after followed by a dose of Steve's magic Alchohol would do the job. I'll also look for some of those bulbs. Thanks for posting.
Hi Dequincey. Thank you for all your post and the pictures are very helpful when your doing the same projects. I just have one question. Is there a easy way to dismantle the two knobs from the headlamp support frame? So i can start sand blasting and painting. It sims like the screws are not made to unscrew. Any tips will be helpful. Thank you again.
well, it is not simple but doable
you need to press it inwards while compressing the two lateral tabs
remove the screws first, but you can not unscrew them all the way, you must take them out from their holder
when the pressure done by the screw is not too much you can pop it out from its holder, then you can unscrew it completely, and the you will be able to dismantle the knobs
regards
I'm afraid I am going to break these. Tell me again how to remove these screws without damaging anything ?
