i like the idea of using the clamps to hold the sides into position ... great idea that i am sure will be copied by many forum members
Thise look like Dynamic Friction rotors.David, whose brake rotors did you use?
Nice - I have to install new distributor and dreading finding TDC. I don't know why I find this specific task somewhat onerous, just a mental block. I've done it on other cars and its always just very futzy - have to look for specific marks, line things up, looking under the car, then down into engine bay, timing light, etc. Eh, I'm just psyching myself out.The exhaust manifold came out and the 123 distributor went in. Now i need to find the appropriate coil.

No, the typical solution is to do the long wheelbase option. It involves some body work, but saves the trouble of cutting the pipes!Has anyone had to trim the length of their headers? I'm not even close here.
Agreed, I will shorten the mating pipe as much as possible. No, the typical solution is to do the long wheelbase option. It involves some body work, but saves the trouble of cutting the pipes!
Looks like it might make sense to cut the other pipes, otherwise the shorter one is getting right up to the last bend in the header..
As mentioned earlier in this thread, I used a dye from color plus to change the color of my seats. Color plus made a custom dye for me to match a leather sample that I then used to do my entire entire, including seats, door cards, armrests, etc. Consider using a dye to change your door cards rather than reupholstering them. Mine turned out great. The leather is not too bad in my car; nothing is torn just worn. I was going to try dyeing them back to the OEM blue. Thomas is sending my new wood trim that will allow me to perform the ash tray delete. This of course means reupholstering the door cards. I ordered a sample blue leather that was so tiny I should have stopped there but I then ordered a 1/2 hide. What arrived is significantly darker than any of the blue leather in my car. I know it is 50 years old but could it have faded that much?View attachment 226327
