Great work. If you get to the point where you are satisfied with your wing windows and care to make more I may be interested in a set.

Well with the oil pump and pick up being in.
And the Oil pan being on.
Motor mounts are on.
Accessories bracket is on.
Throttle linkage is on. Next change the flywheel.
Will it at least get in the hole today???

Hi there!

Nice job!

I am doing the same... When you pulled the old engine, did you pull it without removing the transmission? Any tips are appreciated.

Cheers
Bill

The stock B35 oil filter has a check valve in it. I would make sure there is one in the oil filter you use. I had a top bolt filter with no check valve and it took a while to get oil pressure when I started the motor. I changed to a filter with the internal check valve and the situation improved significantly.

I found and bought a top bolt oil filter housing (‘84 E24). Cuz I’ve forgotten how silly the original E3 bottom bolt oil filter is to change.

How does the check valve work?

I was going to buy one locally for $60 but it did not have check valve. Why do some have the valve and others do not (same part # as far as I can tell)?
