Couldn't resist adding a photo of this Moto-Lita wheel from my E9's stable mate, a 1966 Austin-Healey 3000. It's a jolly good ride too!
Good news from MOMO. Soon available the 370 mm prototipo.
Some of you may have seen my posting elsewhere about this already, but I wanted to share my latest find here as well. The big nerd that I am I had been looking for a very rare special issue Hans Stuck helmet horn button for years, but I never imagined that it would show up with a signed Hans Stuck Momo steering wheel! I came across this little gem that was for sale quite anonymously as it was just listed as “signed Momo wheel” but I immediately recognized the horn button. I have only seen one other of the Stuck helmet horn buttons and I almost fell out of my chair when I saw it for sale with the signed steering wheel. I will have to do a little investigating to try and authenticate the signature if possible, but the either way the wheel flew under the radar completely so I was able to get it at a nice price and with horn button it was a no brainer either way. Turns out the wheel is a quite rare Momo Flyer steering wheel as well. This will be framed and mounted on the wall soon.

I recently acquired a very late Italvolanti Ati 3 ( 380 mm ) in superb condition ( I haven't cleaned the spokes yet ).
It has the E9 specific number ( 2202344 ) and the correct E9 hub ( 522 ).
I would like to find some documentation about it because this one has a hole in the middle, which is new to me, in combination with the 2202344 number.

In the process I’d like to attempt to clean the aluminium a bit.
Any recommendations for safe and effective cleaning products/materials? (Im thinking wd40 and ultra fine steel wool which is very effective on chrome without being too abrasive)
Does anyone know a source for an accurate replacement Motorsport emblem?
Does anyone know of replacement horn buttons for this wheel? I will attempt to reproduce one if it doesn’t already exist.

Steel wool or grit 1500 sanding paper works very well.
I have one button, one emblem and a center pad left.

Just make sure the seam is at the 5:45 (o'clock) position and not at the center of the bottom
50 years ago today, 5/31/1972, I bought my '72 2002. Here's the Moto-Lita wheel that I installed about 40 years ago, and gave it a leather cleaning today. This replaced the wooden Nardi that was in the car since about 1973,and was sold in the classified in the back of those old Roundels.

Since this forum is also a Petri geek forum, I thought you might like this;
A while ago I came across this black Petri steering wheel. It caught my eye because it looked like an original black steering wheel ( yes, those were available ). I couldn't find any traces of a re-paint. Because I couldn't control my curiosity, I started removing the paint. The paint was in bad condition, so...why not. The build-up of the paint appears to be similar to that of other Petri steering wheels with black spokes from the same period ( leather 3 spoke csi steering wheel, 2002 Turbo steering wheel, 1600ti steering wheel etc ). Besides that, under the black paint there are no traces to be found that indicate a standard Petri steering wheel. Anyone who has ever worked on a silver Petri steering wheel knows that under the silver top layer is a copper top layer, which is very difficult to remove, especially where the spokes meet the rubber.
So, long story short, I'm 99% convinced that this is an original black Petri steering wheel. I will repaint it, just like Petri did back then.
