Taiga csi resto

Should be one long one which slopes into the cavity on each side and one shorter one on the back edge of the sliding panel which slopes down after coming round the back corners to overlap the slopes of the long piece. Mine is not quite right, I replaced the long one as it was way too high when I got the car, but its still a bit high. Didn't replace the rear one which requires removing the panel, but I think it doesn't come far enough round the corners. IMG_1259.JPGIMG_1260.JPGIMG_1261.JPG

Been slow going but will be on it when my back is better.
The 3.5 motor and 5 speed are installed but th e9 gear lever is hitting the console and I can't select any gears. Do I need a different gear lever from my original e9 one?

Also rear fibreglass bumper is ready to install but hoping someone can help me out with some dimensions to drill the holes for the brackets as the rear panels are new ones

Looking good!

Wrt the mounting points; are the reinforcements under the rear lights, inside the trunk, still in place? I think they must be, eventhough your tail panel seems to have been replaced.

These internal brackets define the height of the bumper.
All that remains then is the width (are fiberglass bumper 1 or 2 parts?) and the 'pitch' up/down of the corners that wrap around on the sides.
Width just follows the curve of the car.
For the pitch, it is mainly a visual thing. I had to overdrill the side holes of my car slightly to get them to sit nicely. Originally they are 8,5mm holes for an m8 bolt, but I drilled the holes to 10mm so my bumper-end could be lifted ~1 mm to get a nice horizontal appearance.

If I manage (kids/holiday) I'll try to make some pics.

Erik.

Needs a pop-up wind deflector

Making slow progress but my next issue is the 5 speed gear lever. I have installed the original e9 one. Should I have installed the 5 speed one. The lever is in neutral in the picture

Slow progress but I decided to fit the 3.5 with the triple webers, may put the fuel injected one in my e3 si.
Got to get an exhaust but thinking I might get some headers for it rather than the cast manifold. Anyone know where I can get some from.
Moved onto the electrics now. Got the lights, horn and indicators working but no luck with the wipers at this stage. Now the left indicator doesn't work but hazards do. I am wondering if it's the stalk on the steering column that is playing up. Any advice

I have seen a basement, hanging 7 or 8 original 70th m30 headers in best (used) condition, hanging on a shelf....
Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to publish the place.....

presuming that your car is RHD, that complicates the issue. the only one that i am aware of is from Fritz's Bits in the UK. their exhaust is nice too.

I will contact them thanks. Yes it is rhd

This is the contact for Fritz Bits in UK Richard Hearn <[email protected]>

Whem i dealt with Richard back in Sept last year, the business was "on hold" somewhat as he is the sole carer for his mother so he might not respond immediately . If you're wanting to install aircon ( RHD) ,be mindful of clearance from the compressor if wanting to use headers as they probably won't fit with newer compressor type.

Fritz are really nice to deal with, but i don't think their manifold will work with the AC

I put my exhaust on the car and the front section just after the manifold is rotten. Walloth don't sell that piece separately. Does the Fritz header do away with that first exhaust section

I'm not sure as I've not seen one of their e9 systems or fitted one up I'm afraid

@nosmonkey : I've googled some images with a few search words, and images do come up showing 2 downpipes.
Searching some more on google, I found this answer: it's on our own website even!
According this, they are sold separately for 170 quid.
See post here with experience and some info from @Stevehose And @Stan

I also remember that these systems are actually made for walloth (perhaps also for fritz bitz?) by Larini - try searching for them instead.

I know the systems for walloth are by Larini but Fritz are made in the UK, definitely not by them
