Very sad that no one cared at all as they watched the demise of this car. . Good thing they will get resuscitated. Never seen this body before. very neat.

How many are out there. For some reason I thought only two existed. Maybe just the restored ones.

I have good news: The BMW 3.0 S Frua Coupé barn find from Madrid has found a new caretaker in Germany. He has commissioned the restoration of the car to its former glory as shown on the Paris (10/1972), Geneva (3/1973) and Barcelona (4/1973, see photo below) motor shows.

Presently the car is in the condition shown on the photo below.

I will document the progress of the restoration in this forum and hope that you are interested in following it.

comm. 350/2: BMW 2800 GTS Frua Coupé (E 9)
presently unrestored in the BMW Classic collection in Munich (Germany)

recently a guy in the UK or Ireland was selling the wheels shown on the blue Frua.
Perhaps those restoring it want to contact him.
Anyone remember who I am talking about?

The barn find 350/4 comes many miracles and question marks. The first of them: Where are the wheels which teh car wear at the Paris and Barcelona motor shows? Or in other words: Who knows the wheels: manufacturer, used for which car? Can you help an didentify them on the following photos?

Paris 10/1972:

What a nice coincidence to my post in the same minute: Yes, the restorer is looking to buy these wheels (see my photos above).
