Do I need a different shift boot for the 5 speed?
I installed a new shift boot a few years ago and it is coming apart! The fit with the 5 speed shifter was tight and now one of the seams on the zipper pulled loose and I see that the metal base ring nails are also pulling loose.
Pictures to follow...I don't have the sewing skills that @deQuincey has to make one from scratch so will take this out and have it repaired or simply replace.

Mine fit ok with 5 speed.
I am going to look for a new one...
