What did you do to your E3 today?

New PS hoses, fluid flush, new filter, and a good cleaning. My old hose were 50 years old, hard as a rock and starting to drip.

New brake lines, Brake fluid bleed/flush, new radiator and coolant, correct wheel lugs!
It drives! Hooray.

Here you go! Here's the girls in the driveway just before the rain (I'll have a lot more pics in a couple of weeks, when the damn rain stops) and a copy of my column in this months Straight Six, the magazine of the BMWCC of GB. There's an accidental edit in the column, the 84 Spider is still here, it's my 73 with the carbs that I got rid of.

Fixed my brake reservoir float. The old one has fallen off its stem and sank to the bottom. Retrofitted a new ATE float to attach to the original black cap with the blue dot. Didn't want to use the new white ATE cap that cap with the new float part. Had to trim the new float stem and bore it out with a 1/16th drill bit to accommodate the old copper float stem. Old float stem also needed some trimming, maybe 40% was removed. Works great and parking light is now off!

After fifteen years of bugging me I replaced the split dash veneers with some very nice used ones, I can relax at last !!!

Gorgeous! I have grown to like the subtle, more modern looking E3 dash a bit more than the E9.
