What did you do to your E9 today?

I replaced a stripped driver side rear window transmission.
Fun job, I've gotten pretty efficient with replacing these, it's the third one I've done on that window.

Filled the tank and put in fuel stabilizer in preparation for the long winter indoors.

Made sure that it is ready for a Cars & Coffee event tomorrow.

Patted the hood lovingly as I walked past it this morning to get into my daily driver.

I would clean it for BMW CCA Cars and Coffee tomorrow, but it's supposed to rain. I'll install my pretty copper battery grounding strap instead.

Nothing, unfortunately. I am traveling so it's dormant until next weekend's Eurofest show. Last weekend I washed and clay bar'd it for the second time in 4 years followed by several layers of Zaino polish. That ought to do for another couple years.

Have also discovered the wonders of Gummi Phlege on the old seals.

Mine goes in to VSR Nov 2 for the 5-speed from 4-speed install.

drove from socal to the central coast for the weekend. a leisurely 150 miles each way. a rather warm morning and a/c is running good. will probably get 18 mpg combined hwy and surface streets. it just turned over 310,000 miles.

Worked overtime to buy more parts.

Replaced the sealing washer on the a/c condenser core. Tomorrow I'll vacuum the system check for leaks and hopefully give it a couple of pounds of R12.

Flush and replace all fluids except the gas in the tank and the driver's blood.
(Brake, differential, coolant, oil, gearbox).
