This is lafngrvy’s 2002 tii with a 300 hp DOHC M12 2 liter Formula 2 racing engine! He reported on his Pre-Reunion Race results on the E9 General Discussion forum. I had the pleasure of talking to him for a few minutes before being called away because our lunch table was ready.
that 2002 looks the business.

Plan to head up in a few hours!
We’ll staged at the Rotary Pacific Grove Rally on Lighthouse Ave. from around 12.30 to 5:00, hopefully parked next to my son’s father-in-law’s Inka 2002 he just bought on BaT a couple of weeks ago. I’m in the Display class at Legends with my Chamonix and Red coupe. I will be one of the old guys with a white beard.

I got to meet Blinkling, but unfortunately missed Rex. I parked next to my son’s father-in-law’s new to him Inka 2002. We attracted a lot of interest. In a non-BMW specific crowd it’s amazing how many people stop by and relay their opinion that the E9 is one of the most beautiful cars of the era. There were probably a thousand picture taken of our cars.

Norm, so glad I got to be able to say hi at Legends as well-- your coupe was gorgeous! Agreed with @Rex Kapriellian to get this thread going earlier next year. What an incredible weekend!

I finally met Norm and saw Bo, Rex, Dave and M’liss Dapper, David aka blinkling, Erik F, and of course Pete stopped by, he was everywhere this week! The e12 took second in Open Concours thanks to Shawn’s cleaning before judging started. She kept telling me how dirty my car was. I told her I wasn’t interested in spending hours cleaning a car, my judging days are over. Let someone else win once in a while, it makes no sense to win time and time again or you become “that” guy.
