Where did you drive your coupe today?

Weather was good today, no rain.
Got around 15 C° today.

Get absolutley no attention today what makes me wonder. Normally with the Benz fit that all the time.....

However nice absolute trouble free ride, for a complete knock down (w/o engine) car not bad at all, I think

To be honest....
I forgot them in the sheet metal. :-/

Maybe we move that discussion better in my restoration thread?

Took the E3 out for a drive today. At dusk. In the rain. Pretty sure I was the only one out there just for a drive. Only ones who knew were the Teslas in front of me. Every time I try and emotionally separate myself from this car it pulls me back in.

I've done half that ride on my bicycle!! Although I started in Calistoga, rode up to Berryessa, and then back to Pope valley, and did Ink Grade from Pope Valley to Angwin. That is some beautiful road!
On a bike? Your crazy!!! LOL...that is a long ride! Not an easy one to say the least.

How long ago did you switch out your black wheels?
A couple of months ago. My car needs tires, and I got a chance to try a set of CN36s to see how I liked them.

Buddy of mine who owns a 72 TVR bought a new set of 205/70 14 Pirelli CN36s when they came back onto the market and was getting rid of his old set. They are eight years old, and he had them on his "show" rims that only went on the car when he was showing it. He tried to sell the tires, but because of their age didn't get any takers so he gave them to me. The don't fit on my Weds. Hence the bottle caps.

I like the tires, but now I need to decide do I change my rims, or buy tires that will fit my 15" Weds. Problem with that is they make a 185/70, which is thinner than the stock 195/70 or move up to the 215/70, which may not fit on the front of the car. Or I'll need to look for different tires.

+1 for fun on the 20th anniversary of the Shamrock Rally. Great to see old friends and make some new ones. Although my/our old cars were off line over the weekend, I enjoyed chasin a certain 911 again fifteen years after our first encounter in the Sierras ;)
