Where did you drive your coupe today?

How is the Alfa GT plate mirror image but the plate frame isn't?
He had it pressed … move over

Early on BMW did BMW TURBO or something like that in reverse lettering on the spoiler. I heard the Feds made them put it on correctly.

Always a good time with the Shamrock ☘️ Rally group. Good to see some Bay Area drivers come inland and hit our hills.

Here’s a few at the meetup in SacramentoView attachment 199399View attachment 199400View attachment 199401View attachment 199402View attachment 199403View attachment 199404View attachment 199405View attachment 199406View attachment 199407
This makes me miss my '76 Celica GT Liftback. Best/Worst car I've ever owned! Rustiest car for sure, but it was so much fun to drive.

Hey Steve, I don't believe it was US Feds that were offended by the BMW 2002 Turbo reverse script but rather the German SPD party as it "offended" the Germans. So, BMW stopped producing Turbo's with reverse script but of course an easy fix to install yourself. Kind of silly of course, buy a faster car then or move the hell over! LOL...

I didn't see the MOVE OVER stickers on the Alfa where the registration goes initially. That's classic, love it and the plate looks like a real CA blue plate so kudos to the work done on that by a press, that is cool. Anyone know where to get those or was that a one off custom? Barry said he had it pressed so I presume a one off but great idea. Anyone here with a CA lic. plate press? Have any good Federal Corrections contacts? I just got rid of my old press...just kidding.

Early Sunday morning in S. Florida is the time to avoid the traffic. I'll usually drive for an hour to see a set of Bald Eagles that have been nesting in the same set of trees for over 25 years all winter & spring. If you look through the sunroof you'll see their nest between the 2 upper utility lines. They have 2 Eaglets that peak up now and then. I was lucky on this trip to shoot with my iPhone 13 Pro both parents out of the nest in a nearby dead tree.

First drive of Spring. Been working on a few things over the last couple days with friends and advice from fellow members really helped. In particular I'd like to thank Mr. Macha...answering semi-late night texts with exceptional insights and his technical expertise as we all know is second to none along with a couple local buddies not on the board. Group effort for sure.

My wife and local CCA President joined me on the drive, nice to have in case the "air out drive" didn't go well. Still need to fine tune the carbs a bit; it was expected. Back to one of my favorite drives through Idaho to a little town in WA called Rockford. One flashing red like intersection town. Friendly locals and even the old lady's in there at Fredneck's got off their stools to comment on the car. Check out the mascot on the sign, classic! It is crazy how much attention from all walks of life that check out the E9 out here. Even the local President of the Rotary club stopped in to tell me about their "famous" car show coming up. Cowboy hat and all. For most, I truly think it is the first time ever seeing an E9 in the wild.

May not be able to tell but new H1/H4's, passenger seat belt working again just cleaning the belt so the ratchet gripped it again and added the triangle guides, put on a refurbished valve cover I had from the Bavaria while the one on there gets redone soon (should have taken a pic), and just some other wiring and re-routing of new hoses, new battery, etc.

First 70 degree day this year...for here that is shorts weather and windows down! Decided this is going to be my daily (weather permitting) until Winter storage so really looking forward to that!

Beautiful day here in CD’A. Perfect for a drive to the floating green. No wind on lake. Course closed for another week so slipped right in for lunch.

I’m still amazed how many people trip out on the coupe here. Even the wife commented on it. The locals have never seen one before and ask, “what the heck is that?” In a nice way. Mostly American Hot Rods here. Big car scene but not many European cars.

Doug and I drove 65+ miles to West Palm and the Bimmer Invasion of about 2000 BMW's Saturday morning. There were autocross, burnout, drifting, and loud exhaust competitions for 7 hours. This was the first time the event was in West Palm and they had a Classic division for cars built before 2000. One E30 Hartge had about $70K worth of custom stuff including pneumatic jack posts on all 4 corners to lift the tires 3" off the ground!! "The Turk" won "Best Coupe" award.

Tony Montana replica complete with Colt AR-15 & M203 Grenade Launcher. No white pile of powder however, I guess they are toning it back these days with that kind of stuff. Old cell phone...Funny...only in West Palm.

I don't get the connection to a 750i however. Was this a tuner that did a Scarface edition or something?

Looked like a fun event and probably a nice drive. Did the Isetta win the autocross? o_O

The open trunk had the drugs on display. Maybe Drew will add that pic.
