Today I took the longest road trip thus far - at least 450 miles - from Tualatin, OR up to Woodinville, WA and back to attend the Wundercar Social. John (JMinPDX) and I caravaned up to represent Oregon.
Great event, well-executed (thanks, Kyle!). I met some awesome new friends and the car performed wonderfully. Clicked over 78,000 miles on the way up and the rain stayed away (wipers not presently installed).
Well not today but 42 years ago today I bought my coupe to be my daily driver (still is).
That is truly amazing!! I've had mine for 23 years, seems like I've had it for ever - but 42 years!! And that you bought one in such an iconic color way back when!

My evaporator held pressure for a few days so I went ahead and put the dash back together after fixing the clock, putting led bulbs in the instruments, and replacing the dead radio with a retro sound unit:
Of course I immediately went to work taking apart the rest of the AC system since the condenser did not hold pressure:
I have to say working on a car that is mostly made from metal is a nice break from constantly cracking plastic bits on modern BMWs!

I feel like I'm in an alternate dimension - I don't have an AC car but mine is Polaris silver and I have the same garage floor and ramps. Double-take!
Went to a place nearby Oberhausen in Germany were a guy had an old barn full of BMW and Opel stuff
Great to see what people collect over the years and let’s say, somewhat sorted between the ivy plant coming through the roof sealing which also gave some natural lightning!
Found some good and reasonable priced parts like a blinker glass, the round bracket/shield for the heater outlet tubes on the engine side and the left and right turn mechanisms for the triangle windows!
