searching further, I am seeing “choke relay”, A/T relay( mine is 4 speed). Pretty large wires.

Relay next to booster (Erik’s relayB) with green and green/white wires were connected to Zenith chokes, enrichment device, temp sender under front manifold and idle jet fuel cutoff. A/T relay is under dash on a 74 but is probably A/T.

Thank you Chris, Erik’s post helped, but with no zeniths and curiously not on the wiring diagram, I was stumped.The diagram does show one green and white wire
Coming from fuse 7 forming into a double for the electric choke, but not related to this relay. Also curiously, my green/white wire(s) are opposite.(two gn/ws wires forming a single female connector.)
Two very novice questions: My two newish 38 webers have electric choke, can I use the gn/ws wires? Secondly, can I ditch that relay?

The wiring will show the auto trans wires and relay as dashed lines on a factory diagram but your Prosperos diagram ( which I don’t care for) shows it as a starter relay, that is it. There is no starter relay on a stick shift coupe.

The Zenith choke relay relies on the temp sensor under front manifold to disable chokes, I don’t know how Weber electric chokes work.

Thanks Chris, the Prospero‘s diagram definitely doesn’t match up in all cases. It is easy to read though And has helped. I found your February 2019 Post with the diagrams and will study those further.

Received below correspondence yesterday, one day response. Been meaning to get this info and as the project and I are separated by a 26 hour drive,(I do have the wiring harness) I have time to do some housecleaning.
TWO ITEMS OF INTEREST:
A) Started as an Automatic, (good call above by Chris)
B) Color is Nevada, not Sahara as supposed.(no sticker in eng.comp. no other documentation, badge removed from trnk lid and holes filled)

Does this spring mechanism on gas fill cover get painted? Or is it installed after back of cover is painted. Spent several hours cleaning it of paint and crud
and now it looks so nice and operates smoothly.

Good question. Not sure my car would help answer it but I'd be temped to NOT paint it.

that is my feeling as well. no rust on mechanism or carrier. Only surface rust on back of cover.

Mine appears to be original and it looks like it is (lightly) painted...

Purchased the car from a guy in Sioux Falls He said he had it for three years and drove it regularly. He got it from a "collector" in Colorado. Some one was doing work but it wasn't the PO i got it from. I have begun some basic dismantling of the interior. The trunk contained various parts to include:
a) two new rear Bilstein sport shocks;
b) four new door seals, one for each
c) front turn signal seals
d) two cv boots,new;
e) various belts, filters and bags of nuts, screws, clamps ;
f) two Zenith carbs, one of which is COMPLETELY disassembled. I mean, I have never seen so many parts and pieces. Must have taken hours just to take it apart. Got to be worthless, except for parts.

I had some meager hope that the bags with the seals contained front or rear windshield gaskets, but alas, no.

So the car looks really good and most everything is there. Thanks for the picture Dick. I’m conflicted, it’s easy to get off now cause I haven’t re-beveled the rod holding it. Maybe get it zinc plated and put it on after the paint job? Seems like it should be protected by something.

I like that idea. I've done a couple of cars where I bundled up a bunch of brackets, unique fasteners, etc. and took them to a zinc plater. Super cheap ($150 for a bucket full). Not pure stock in all cases but gave a nice, finished look.

Got the rear window out today. Glass is ok, but Gasket is a disaster. Hard as a rock. Had to be cut.Fairly certain it’s NOT going back in. I have a spare Windshield gasket so maybe I can make something work.

Minimal rust in the channel so that’s good.
Brought more parts to PMB, Including the gas tank lid spring and hood hinges as well as the front struts and rear shock absorbers. PMB performance does a great job, I don’t have a spring compressor and frankly didn’t feel like fooling with them. Springs will get powder coated black. I can’t locate anything performance oriented for the springs and I’m not sure it needs them. I need to focus on getting it on the road at some point I’m not waiting for all the UNOBTAINIUM.
As I was in the neighborhood, I visited my painter who is somewhat excited about the project having just done a Porsche 914 in red. Pictures were unbelievable. painted the car, the inside and the complete underside. Says they have a 3 foot block to send it out. Flat surfaces are apparently really good at showing imperfections.
Would once again like to think the forum for all the help, advice and encouragement.
P.S.(really thought the rear window was larger than the windshield, but not by a long shot)
P.S.S. Someone parked this ridiculous car across the street from me last night. I mean it’s all new and everything,And really fine.

work progressing. I decided I hate POR 15, just nasty stuff. And I am fairly certain unnecessary without it the vehicle will not rust before I do.
Spent two days in the trunk. No rust but repaired some dents from underside. Whatever glue is used to attach various horsehair, cardboard and
coverings is impervious to everything.
Spent more time on interior. Mineral spirits dissolves Tar!

The carpet will cover those speaker cutouts in the base of the rear seat....if you don't plan to fill them with speakers...but is the rear parcel shelf as bad as it looks?
