1972 E9 3.0 CSI - Chamonix

Having problems with sparks. Used Denso iridium for a few years now. Replaced them with new ones this season but spark is bad and the engine stalls - especially when sitting for a while.

Conventional wisdom agrees with HB Chris✓. Most recommend using standard copper core spark plugs as these were originally equipment from the factory.

That said, if you experienced no problems with Denso Iridium plugs, it is unlikely that switching to a different spark plug brand with a comparable heat range and design would make a noticeable difference in engine operation. Without additional information, perhaps your replacement spark plugs have an extremely wide gap that tests the limits of your presumably "stock" ignition system?

Quite some time now I felt that the suspension is a bit wobbly so I decided to replace all bushings and steering rods.

Did some shopping at W&N and also bought:

- front/rear discs with pads
- front/rear wheel bearings
- handbrake cables and handbrake pads
- steel coated brakes hoses
- radiator
- water pump, termostat
- visco clutch with new fan
- new clutch slave cylinder
- axle boot repair rubber
- driveshaft center mount and joint
- differential rubber mount....

I had an empty lift for a few days since my uncle who owns the shop went on vacation. Replaced majority of parts but still have to replace radiator, water pump, termostat, visco clutch with new fan and clutch slave cylinder and make wheel alignment,

Also noticed leak on the original front muffler. Since I already made a custom rear muffler, I decided to cut open the original one to see how internals are made and fabricate this one as well.

Got all the material and almost ready to put it together for test fit then weld it.
