here's the peanut gallery keep'in me company workin on the car
so should i mount the bottom hood strut brace on the top of the inner fender or at the seam of the inner outer fender?
i have mine covered with the black rubber trim
i'm thinking ill just make an "L" bracket and go thru the top of the inner fender

i can live w/ that

That hood strut is awesome! The spring is gone from my e3, I think I'm going to go this route instead. What strut did you use? Do you have the brand and part number?

I figured this would draw some interest , as i havent seen it before and it seems like a no brainer.
anyway this one works the best.
there is another post here on the matter
that one is longer and mounts inside
but keeping them straight works best
i will relocate the bottom mount directly on the top of the inner fender with an "L"
clip

I know I need to move to this since the arms from my torsion set up hit the driver side inner fender ... causing a very annoying chip in my new paint.

Thanks for being the innovator and going for it.

Feels good to get the glass in doesnt it! The dash really makes it hard to get the seal in ... especially for me since I had the dash redone and the tolerances were even tighter. The installers got it in after a couple attempts.

Great pics. Lookin good man!
