im going to go up there and serious update all the trim and detailing
as its been sitting for a year or so and all my aluminum
has been repolished and is bare
so i need to address it all with mothers to keep it from
having any deteriorate issues.
there must be at least a hundred pieces that need
attention.
also i want to update all the vinyl with mcquires vinyl preservative
and also the leather seats.
i want to pull the sunroof cables and refine them to slide easier
as they are brand new and are so thick they wont slide easily.
in the tubes.

so im determined now to get my car back and get the darn thing RUNNING.
i had to resend the court docs as i missed the return envelope
and had no heads up on the court date.
i need to repaint the top of the front fenders and modify the sunroof cables as they are too tight
when they are brand new to slide easily. finish assembling the center console
somehow fix the clamp for the ac motor as the plastic edge broke off.
have the front end all set up -as its all new.
im going to tow it from the raceway to santa rosa speed shop to have them finish the wiring and
dyno the car.
had a moment when i was just going to sell it as is.
yet ive replaced new -darn near every single part that could be
and have 55k in receipts from wallys and bmw in atlanta.
and there so much detail i've done , so i really want to see how it drives.
ive never driven a car with an lsd .
it should be very helpful with all the power going back there.
i was lucky enough to find a 3:64 , which should be just right with the 5 speed.
yak yak yak.

Glad to read you are staying the course.

Keep in mind wiring and tracing circuits takes a lot of time and in turn money. Recently had to have my D-Jet wiring harness gone through to find a single broken wire, it was well over $3K.

as mentioned
since bill received the summons to settle the 6k he decided to just tow my car to my home and be done with it.
it was a long 18 months of waiting, i did tell him i would try to at least send him something for all his work
now im having a hard time to find someone here in the bay area thats fimilar with the links module to
fire the engine. there still a lot to do all the suspension setup and get it on the dyno.
bill mentioned that i would need two air mixture guages -one for each of the exhaust mainfolds
yet if i remember right i set the pickup in the collector pipe, so thats doesnt make much sense.
ill know in a few hours when the car arrives.
till then >>>

I was able to get some time away from the computer and began the assembly and repair again.
the first thing that needed to happen was to seal the car.
i have new electric sunroof cables i installed ,yet as new they really only work on a manual setup, as the felt is just
too tight to slide freely .
so i pulled em out and fired up the butane torch and burnt all the excess felt away.
now they slide very well.
the front part of one was beginning to crack at the cable slider joint
most likely from trying to force it closed before
so i pulled out the serious steel glue
por 15 and filled it. once it dries i can sand it to just like new
and i wont have to be concerned it will break later.
the next is to somehow repair the ac blower clamp as the top reveal broke loose
ill just dowell it a por 15 it
that should work. if not, then a replacement
ac housing. would be in order.
i found the shop to get the links unit setup
fine line imports in santa rosa.
once i get all the incidentals together ill tow it up there.

IF you want a surefire way to polish and restore you aluminum
get some maquires 105, the Meguiar's
MEGUIAR'S Soft Buff 7" Rotary Foam Cutting Pad, 1 Pac
it has a 1" edge to get in close
mount a polisher in a vise and polish away
just continue to dap the polish as you buff
it comes out brand new
u can see the diff on the back vertical pieces.

in the morn im going to align the hood
so i marked the position of the headlight buckets
with scratches at the mounting points
it took me a whole day to get them centered in the grilles and set the front to back setting

putting the wind slats together i noticed that they won't flip back and forth
it seems the flat slots in the levers, where the spring goes, had rounded out.
I cut a sliver of oak and set it in there with jb weld. so when it dries
i can dig out the wood and ill a flat spot again.
