73 POLARIS E3 BUILD...Slowly..

Passenger doors off and sanding all the nooks and crannies by hand. Front and rear subs are stripped and painted. I can almost taste the primer…

Man, I’ve done a handful of headliners on old bmws and a few old British cars, but this one is gonna be fun to install with the new one…. I’ll probably skin the back panel with fiberglass to make sure it’s up for the next 50 years.
I’m so lucky that this car is so clean and in such good condition. I’m finally back in the groove working on her..woohoo!

Sidetrack shot of my 16 year old son’s car..lucky kid! 88 325is. Manual, of course! He stripped the paint off the barrels and polished the wheels himself. Teaching him how to maintain his baby. Proud dad..;-)
I did weld up a rig for him to make polishing a bit easier. Worked a treat! He might farm out some extra work for people that want their barrels polished..:-)

Thoughts on the exit for the exhaust? It seems dumb to have it make that S right at the end...I was toying with moving it over to just off center below the gas filler..I know, that's probably why they moved it over in the first place, but whatever.. I did a quick PS express on my phone to see what it would look like. I feel like a nice straight run out the back would look great.

Cleaned and sanded the trunk finally. Man, there are so many nooks and crannies in there..spun the car around and pulled the final glass, frames, hardware, out of the driver’s side. Ready to finish sanding this side and get close to primer!

You are deleting the reflectors, right?
Yeah, I have to weld those up. I got rid of the antenna hole already.
Is it just the front side lights that are US or are the rears also US, too? I guess I have to blend the wires back into the harness to prevent weird blinker function?
