it is very nice color, and is really good work did you do it your self or you have a local shop to do that for you, my Malaga E9 have a new interior with the cinnamon color but after I install the seat I fined out the seat didn't fold I had to take the seat out and take the cable out and fix it, I think my guy was his first time to do the E9 seat, I hope your guy is not his first time, my seat is very nice it was a really nice work just he couldn't put it back together right, now check yours make sure everything is right.Getting there on the interior, I think I have the door trim figured out as to order of assembly… this is going to be a huge week.
I like running light, it is nice and it is for safety, I had the same thing on my car and now I change it to original headlight since I am getting ready to sale the car, I know lots of people prefer original headlight.Metal trim out parts of windows and doors installed today, rubber seals and final fitting of doors tomorrow…picture of headlight running lights, headlights wired for all four on low and high.
Hey Barney,
I love watching this restoration! I love the red leather with one of the best blues BMW ever developed. My only issue is those headlights, just too over the top for such a beautiful car. Anyway you could reconsider going with Hella H1 and H4s? Not trying to offend at all, just hoping it's worth consideration.
Those are a good period-looking choice with the pair of them making a nice symmetrical look.No problem at all with the comments on headlights , if I don’t like the headlights when finished I can change those headlights out in about an hour and a half… now seems like a good time to bring up my additional brake lights in the rear…
I tell you what I did for 3rd brake light, on one of my car I install long LED Streep between the gap of trunk lead and body when is off no one can see a light installed there, when is on all the trunk gap is bright red LED light, I am alone now later I will take a picture and post it for you, and on my blue E9 I have a CSL spoiler on the trunk, I install long BMW Z4 LED 3rd brake light inside of spoiler, it is flush with surface you really cant see it it is very nice, to me 3rd brake light is very important to have it is the best invention for safety. Those are a good period-looking choice with the pair of them making a nice symmetrical look.
I've got a 3rd brake light on my list of things to do when the time comes, but I've been leaning toward installing an LED strip at the top of the window because it's closer to people's sightline. Did you put LED bulbs in there?

Barney, You might consider a 3rd brake light made by Hal Boyles. It must be mounted on a pedestal on the back deck. The LED is quite bright and drivers in SUV's & trucks will see that you are stopped. Our regular brake lights are just too low for safe driving. Here's a pic of my car with the LED brake lights in the factory sockets and Hal's 3rd brake light in the back windshield.
Hi Barney, Did you use BMW "trim rings" or did you find a new source? We moved the coupe over to the final assembly spot Today, first time outside in a while.
The trunk is pretty much sorted out still a few small adjustments, Going to pick up some trim rings for the screws.
waiting on new fan for radiator to finish up engine bay.
right on time the Upholstery shop called me today and said my seats & door cards would be ready on Friday for pick up.
plan on starting on dash/interior tomorrow…
