Mine has holes for this same/similar strip. I'll be welding up the holes as well. I wish they had just glued on a strip rather than drilling large holes and bolting on...

Dropped it off for a thorough pressure washing and found this in the trunk. And it is going to be a bigger project than it looks from ten feet.

My car, swiss may 73 delivered, also had the khaki primer and grey undercoat.

I always have my new acquisitions pressure washed so when the work begins I’m not covered in dirt and grease, what a difference it makes.

I'll have to remember that. I'm still cleaning grease from under my finger nails from disassembly over a year ago.
Well, it’s cranking great thanks to a new battery. I have fuel to the carbs but no spark, it has never even hinted at firing. I have 12v at the coil, rotor, points and cap look new as do plug wires. I adjusted the points, replaced the condenser and have now ordered a new coil. It ran for Paul 2 weeks ago!

Most cars in New England look like that after restoration! Nice find. One can see the infamous marshmallow appearance of the transmission mount which says "start spending money here".
hey Chris, this looks like a wonderful project. is this going to stay a VERY original coupe? i think i know the answer, but this should turn out wonderful. somebody is going to end up with a wonderful coupe. i do like chamonix coupes, but for me its either red interior (gr8white style), black, tan ... and then blue)
It will stay very original for sure!
So rewarding though. I think I removed 100’ of wire from my car.
