Copart BMW finds...

One thing to remember is when you buy from Copart it's pretty easy to export it without being here. If you buy off of eBay, BaT or online classifieds you have to have local help. I think that factors into off-shore sales.

All of this car are SALVAGE TITLE it is not worth it to fix even that nice 2002 tii

It is odd that they call it a "UK" when they've used "2000 CS" in the past, but Copart is not known for their accuracy.

Interestingly, that looks like a British licence plate.
It does look like a British license plate alright, but strangely it doesn’t seem to be recognised by the DVLA and she is left hand drive also.
I wonder where is that reg. from ?

Yes I looked it up on the DVLA website too. The ‘P’ suffix indicates an August 1975 to July 1976 registration year so I maybe it was sold new in mainland Europe and then subsequently imported to the UK. Back then I don’t think you could get an age-related plate. The ‘YU’ indicates the Greater London area.

the red tii looks interesting. in georgia, cars with salvaged titles cannot be driven on public roads. this includes cars totalled for water / flood.

but, it is possible to get a salvage title reversed to a 'rebuilt' or 'restored' title. you have to have photos of the car in damaged condition and submit / document every part needed to 'restore' the car. a flooded car would be much easier here as there is no 'structural' damage that would make it a hazard. rebuild the drivetrain, replace all the bearings / etc. that became soaked ... and you are mostly there. in georgia, you have to pass an inspection by the state's inspection unit.
