Craigslist BMW Finds:

Does it come with a welder? :)

In case I haven’t offended anyone today, but I’d need more than a welder: Chop the top 1.5”. Stretch the doors. S14. Inka. Widen the body w/o kit stuff. French the bumpers & lose the overriders. Air dam. Recess the front lights, grill & kidney. Lose the lower trim & side markers. ... Keep the tow hitch to haul off all the things thrown at me.

Want!

1986 Vixen - SF Bay Area

BADASS!

That Vixen seems like a really good price in my uneducated opinion. Doesn't seem like the value would ever go down much from that point and the photo of the car in the background with a cover on it and the condition of the Vixen itself all points to good things!

How did we miss this one on CoPart??

Looks rusty, but when's the last time you saw a 1st Gen Coupe on CoPart?

Are these 14" Alpina wheels?

$9600 hasn't made reserve with an "estimated value" of $56,700 hahahahaha... This thing is so rotten... but the trim is great shape.

Current bid is $9600 and it looks like they're running it again in the evening sale, which means they're trying to get a little more for it after the original auction. If they don't get what they want it will probably be back next week...

It's a double edged sword... so many good parts on the car, but the visible rust belies the true nature of the beast. This one would need the full treatment of rust repair, I'm betting. The rust visible under the hood is telling...

Borrani wheels or Alfa maybe?

I'm guessing Alpina Borrani, Steve. Very difficult to find in 14"

How much is a set of those wheels worth?

13" 4x100 triangle hole Borranis can be had for $500-$1000 a set, depending on seller and condition (German prices). Round hole Alpina spec Borranis draw a premium and it's a seller's market due to scarcity; expect $1000-$1500 per set. I've only seen one set of 14" Round hole Borranis and they were on a 2000CS sold two years ago. I think he said he sell them to me separately for $2000, if I I wanted them for my car.

Blue E12s coming over the transom today. Am I right that the Turbo is Fjord and the other is Pastel Blue?

For Haloween, I think a giant hand in the boot that would appear/disappear like Thing, in orig. Addams Family might be fun...(maybe giving tetanus shots, also...)
