Which padding is that? For the felt along the inside of the door trim I just bought some grey felt and cut it to fit. If you have door panels off you may also want to put sound deadening onto the inner side of the door skin. I painted the whole inside with the rust bullet paint as protectant and then applied sound deadening panels. There is also Lizard Skin paint that has some sound deadening qualities

When I cleaned up the window mechanisms I used an adhesive sound deadener inside the door, used a vapor varior from @alprada70 and then used a product from second skin audio called overkill foam.

Not sure exactly what it was. I will definitely take a look inside the bottom of the doors for rust. If I don't see any rust I will spray with cavity wax. Good call on the sound deadening material
what about using dynaliner inside the doors? adhesive backed foam - either 1/4" or 1/2". with everything out of the doors, it wouldn't be that hard.

That would be great but there is already a crack starting. Bending it back will surely make the crack worse. I'm looking for nice replacement.
Can I assume that "P" stands for Passenger and "D" stands for Driver? I'm guessing that the seller added these to help identify because there are no part numbers to be found.
Likely but they only fit one way and you clearly have one of each so should be good to go!

this looks like the connector for the external voltage regulator - is there a blue, a brown + a black wire? chances are the PO bypassed the blue wire from the alternator to the program tester plug when they installed a newer alternator with an internal voltage regulator
any idea where this was connected? i don't recognize that connector ... but then again i haven't worked on a '74 coupe
That looks something like the connector for the reverse switch. Is it located inthe engine bay on the driver's side?
