Rubber FAQ

@eriknetherlands ,

Turns out I do have those rubber washers for the blinker lenses. Here is a second set of measurements.

Question on rear quarter glass, what seals to the inside of the glass? Same seal as door but cut down? Or different number?
I found the door ones at Maximillian (max2002store.com) as e9 cs inner door felt strip and looks good.

Front turn signals actually have two seals; one between body and chrome base (which I think you already have pic of), but there also is a rubber gasket that seals the lens to the chrome base. In the attached pics (From ebay, it's for sale for a dump ass price of @ 600 usd...) you see the body rubber as a separate part, and the rubber between chrome and lens is still in place inside the chrome base.
i am circling back to this post - i have looked and cannot find a part number or anything referencing the inner rubber under the lens for the turn signal. my car did not have them ... but that's not to say that they didn't turn to dust before i got the car. has anybody else seen these pieces? if they are supposed to be there, perhaps @alprada70 can make us some.

I sell the set for the front and rear windows

Alvaro, the one you make is the one that goes between the housing and the body ... and it fits GREAT! the question is about a gasket between the housing and the lens, which would be smaller and thinner ... but like i've said, never seen one before.

Hi All,
Great content, so thanks for a great resource. I am trying to identify the rubber seal in the pics. They (2) are 325mm x 19mm. Thanks in advance for your interest.

Thanks for the impressive reply rate; WOW. Yes to all. I believe it is that seal (oem 51216754323 / 4). I have found that the length is subjective in that many seals I am replacing are a little longer than required, so are trimmed to size. I found this with the leading edge seal to the rear quarter glass (what a joy that was to fit).

is the vent rubber not an entire triangular piece?

edit: i see from Bmachine's pic you are talking about the outside rubber
In this case vent rubber refers to the chrome window sill trim to the vent window assembly.

@HB Chris / @rsporsche,

I will circle back to this eventually but do not have time to revise the initial FAQ post. It goes without saying, but you have my express permission to edit any post under my name at any time, for any purpose you see fit. In a perfect world where we are all swimming in time, the tables that I created are updated with screenshots, part numbers, etc.
