Tygaboy's '74 - An Update/Improve Effort

@sfdon and crew getting it closer! Parts availability is slowing progress but it'll be worth the wait!

More updates from @sfdon . Yes, I agree, someone really dropped the ball on that dip stick... :p
There's a thread for just this important issue!

Done, done and DONE! I pick my car up from @sfdon bright and early tomorrow morning! What did Don, Martin, Chris and others on the crew do, you ask?
- fully rebuilt '88 3.5 swap including all the needed updates to wiring, fittings, etc., etc.
- inspected & blessed 265/6 5-speed swap (was an automatic) including all the necessary bits & bobs, as well as their first "short throw" shifter set up
- new "modern" AC system components (compressor, condenser, hoses...)
- rebuilt brake booster
- 3.45 rear end swap
- refreshed drive axles
- painted engine bay
- replaced, re-plated or powder coated everything under the hood from the firewall forward
- installation of the complete Carl Nelson suspension set up: new Bilsteins, springs, bushings, steering arms, shock pads, camber plates...
- powder coated front sub-frame
- rolled front fenders
- other stuff I'm sure I'm forgetting

I have a set of fresh Coupe King Faux Alpina 16" wheels / Conti Extremes all set to go on once it's home. Exterior pics then, I promise!

HUGE thanks to Don and his crew: Martin, Chris (and the others I didn't have a chance to meet/chat with) who had a hand in bringing the above-mentioned areas of my coupe up to a level with which I couldn't be more pleased! Let the driving BEGIN!

(And yes, I realize the Vin tag is missing. It's being replaced and hasn't yet arrived.)

Forgot to mention, I also have a set of euro bumpers as well as a set of fiberglass bumpers and air dam, all thanks to @aguirola Alberto. Once I get all these ready to be fit, it'll be "decisions, decisions" time. CSL sorta look? Classy stock-ish look? I think, like shoes, I'll swap around to suit my mood!

I saw your coupe when I was there a couple of weeks ago, it looks great, nothing like a 3.5 to wake things up.
Worked on by Don's place and now "approved" by HB Chris? The price just went up another 15%! :p
But seriously, thanks for the kind words. Now on to the interior, then paint. Not immediately, I wanna do some driving.

And apologies, I just realized I didn't provide a suitable "before" pic of the engine bay. I'd call the current state a "significant improvement".

@tygaboy You should pop by Easys if you pick it up early.

I saw your car a few days ago. Looks great. I'm sure all the air cooled boys would love to see if.

Engine aside (how do I even say such a thing) the engine bay is a dramatic improvement! Did you have Don and team re-spray while they had everything out?

Was planning to swing though EASY! I'll look for your car and if you spot mine/me, please introduce yourself?

Nothing like an uneventful first drive home from @sfdon 's shop! The mods and updates totally transform the car. It's nice and quiet, shifts like butta', is rattle-free and just makes you want to keep driving and driving. As soon as I got home, I just had to swap on the new wheels - enjoy the before/after pics. This thing is just a joy.
