A pint of CeraKote is $75 so your solution is probably fine.
Chris, which one do you use?Shoot some CeraKote high gloss clear and it will last for a very long time.
Hello, I am using Cerakote also but they have clear ceramic special for aluminums that I spray on any part that is aluminums like on all af my wheels and on the belt around the car first I make it shine then I spray on it that will stay shine for very long time the number of that Ceramic is MC-5100 try it if your wheels are aluminums
Hello, please do not use that on the wheels do not make the same mistake that I did that is very good product but do not use it on the aluminum wheel it will come of very easy and you have to spend time to clean it the only thing works for me was a Cerakote MC-5100 that will protect your expensive wheels and it will not come of easy once you spray take 24 hour to dry 100% and and it is air cure it will work better than powder coat and do not need a ovenThanks for all the advice. I ordered the USCSprayMax 2X High gloss two part aerosol clear coat today. Only issue is once you activate it you have to use it in 24 hours. If anyone near me needs something clear coated you are welcome to the left over product. Sad to waste it
Tip: Get a keyboard with a period key.Hello, please do not use that on the wheels do not make the same mistake that I did that is very good product but do not use it on the aluminum wheel it will come of very easy and you have to spend time to clean it the only thing works for me was a Cerakote MC-5100 that will protect your expensive wheels and it will not come of easy once you spray take 24 hour to dry 100% and and it is air cure it will work better than powder coat and do not need a oven

Paint/ dye with Leatherique the door cards black? That is what I did with the blue interior of my 3.0.Finally got my coupe down to the shop for some needed work. Brake master, parking brake cables, welded the parking brake lever sheet metal, rebuilt my sport Recaros for better support and converted my passenger door from manual to power.
With the seats out I started thinking about changing the interior color. Polaris car with the dark blue interior. I hate it. My Recaros are black and I have black e24 rear buckets but the door cards are still blue. Most people don't notice or don't think it looks bad that way but I really don't like the dark blue. I'm thinking a saddle brown or something in the brown/tan palette. I think it looks good with Polaris but only a few colors work IMO.
I also figured out why there was only one parking brake cable on the car. I swapped the rear subframe years ago with a later disc brake setup but couldn't remember why there was only one cable. The sheet metal at the brake lever was torn and I kept putting off the welding because it's a PITA, so I never bothered to investigate the cable. Well, I took the rotor off and found no shoes or anything for the parking brake on that side. I looked in all my boxes and didn't find anything so I really don't know what happened. I think the car came that way and I was just lazy. Anyway, I found the new cable that never got used sitting on my shelf and the wrecking yard next door has an e21 with the parts I need. Should be on the road this week.

If I stay with black I'll do that. Way down the list though.Paint/ dye with Leatherique the door cards black? That is what I did with the blue interior of my 3.0.
Using the great ideas and instructions on this site, I’ve got e24 seats in the rear area,
too.
Good luck, Dan.
