What did you do to your E9 today?

The metal plate on the wiper mechanism was pretty ugly. I had it satin chrome plated to match the oil filler cap. The local plater did the job in one day, and the local hardware store had the zinc-plated hardware and the stainless cap nut.

I repaired the throttle linkages
They were seized when I bought the car and I did not know it . As soon as I pressed down on the accelerator pedal the 2 linkages sheared off .

Getting ready for the Highlands event: Polished the sunroof tracks and Stan's deflector. Polished the BBS wheel rims. The closed cell hood insulation piece was sagging in the middle where the peel & stick failed. Now the entire piece is on the hood with Weldwood contact cement. You can see where I used the contact cement around the edges. And the oil & filter were changed with the Valvoline VR-1 synthetic 20W50.

So, I did a thing. I have run Carl Nelson springs with Bilstein shocks & struts for one a decade. Talking with Mario at VSR we decided a more comfortable approach without degrading driving experience would be to install the KW Suspension https://www.kwsuspensions.com/kw-suspensions-kw-v3-coilover-kit-35220054.html
Seat of the pants I can tell a difference. Also the suspension is adjustable so it can be made softer (like a Cadillac) or stiffened up in the unlikely event I will take The Great White to the track.
Overall, I am happy
PS: Carl Nelson springs for sale

Wow, Stan, you have quite the coupe now, i.e. motor, suspension, etc. It certainly has changed a bunch since I last saw it! I've heard great things about the coilovers.
