What did you do to your E9 today?

Tidying up

Thanks to HBChris, I got a pair of restored clamps for the AC muffler.
One of the easier jobs to do.

Taught my wife a new vocabulary word: "Getrag 265"

Not amused!

My wife draws the line at anything larger than a loaf of bread on the kitchen table!

Removed my rear seats, sent them to Classic 9 Leather Shop in Dearborn Heights MI for re-upholstering. Removed center and side armrests and put several treatments of Leather Therapy conditioner on them, preparing to re-dye (will be Mercedes Bamboo color).

Removed the carpeted plywood on the rear package shelf and dyed the grey wool carpet black (Rit dye), then re-dyed the leather border on it to black as well. Prepared the high mounted rear brake light I'm going to attach to the center rear of the package shelf for installation.

Photo op of my e9-stuffed garage/driveway. I've had a forum member's recently acquired 2800cs here for evaluation for a couple weeks, unfortunately it will likely be parted due to rust and neglect from the PO. The other cars (mine and my friend's Verona) got their engines warmed up, weather has been wet the last 2 weekends so they wanted to at least be turned over. Can't have too many coupes at one's disposal!

@stevehose, even celebrating 28 years you are going too far, the kitchen table and the garage too ? man, you are testing the boundaries

I remember when that white one was for sale. Must feel nice to be swimming in coupes!

DeQ-It was actually a nice cool crisp autumn day. The cars loved the ambient temperature and we were all comfortable (except Duane whose Alpina does not have heat). I had the air vent open half way and the heat on about 1/4. It was perfect on all levels; the camaraderie, the choice of roads, the breakfast bagels and brewery lunch (thank you Mario) and the coffee break (thank you Duane).
I got to meet some new friends and enjoy the tail end of my ("our" including Andrew) Bi Coastal BMW week!

This has the makings of "Targa New Hampshire"

Mario, lets make this an annual event!

hummm, that sounds delicious, what was the thing that allows spatial/temporal journeys ? a Lorentz contraction black hole ? a time tunnel ? we need something like that so i can join you in the New Hampshire journey and then you can come with me back to the Basque journey here where i can offer you a suculent dinner in a genuine Basque style ,-)

Update>

Refitted refurbished Aux air valve and fitted new oil filter head with taps for oil temp and pressure.
Wiring to come later!

Done with VDO pressure guage installed.

Spent Nov. 8th with my friends driving the New Hampshire back roads and the Kancamagus Highway (NH 112) on the VSR Fall Tour.
