Wife: "We got another package. It says it's from Stan. I think it might be a car part."

Me: "Ooh that is piece of dashboard!"

i bought this machine for the boss 15 years ago, i couldnt imagine it was such fun to "play" with it,...

I never understood how the damn things works, I see a needle making a hole and pushing a thread down into the hole but how does it do it on the way up while holding a contiguous thread. Must be one of those things that only work if you believe they work...

what did you do...

Got some paint on my engine block. After removing the carburettors, manifolds, starter, alternator, power steering pump, water pump, sundry brackets...well I was all in. After much encouragement from Stevehose and others, I cleaned up the block, and got a coating of nice low gloss black on that engine...looks like well worth the effort.

Finally??? Were you waiting for it Stan? We have had balmy temps in Bucks County, PA, tennis outdoors, tee shirts at times. I can take this all winter, but that's wishful thinking.
I have been driving the coupe regularly, except this last full week of warm rain. Plan to road test the snow blower tomorrow hoping it will keep the snow gods at bay. The first winter I bought it we had four!!! inches the whole winter. Then got crushed last winter.

I suppose "finally" wasn't the right word. So many up here clammer for snow. I should have said inevitably... The last week prior to the snow was drizzle so the Great White waited, hoping for one last opportunity but alas, the sand trucks have come by and winter is here. The driving season ends too soon, too soon.

Received Memoirs of a Hack Mechanic for Christmas and finished it today.
A great read; if you don't have it I recommend it highly.
Thanks Rob

Athena got painted, gauges put in restored cluster housing and engine assembly coming along nicely. :D

The rest of the restored wood trim should be installed next week and engine assembly completed.
