That would make such a great base for a hotrod build...
no... want to change it as far oem as demanded for road legal.....then i "can" sell the car or keep it.... don't know yet . Have such good memories over 7 years rallying with that red devil. I can keep the engine, dogleg and LSD.... but also hope for the suspension. Would drive just the same , only no roll cage and oem seats. I have to many cars , so either my (road legal) 928 or this one has to go.... i wonder which one :)

Detailed the car after returning from the Vintage. Shining like a new dime again.
Today I cleaned up the underside after the Vintage. Happy to see the extensive work done holding up well.

Very happy this thread is still going strong, it was started 7 years ago, has over 2,859+ posts & 271,820+ views & remains current.

To update the first post October 24th 2014:
I replaced a stripped driver side rear window transmission.
Fun job, I've gotten pretty efficient with replacing these, it's the third one I've done on that window.

Fall of 2020, I had VSR replace the rear window motors with E28 rear window motors from ebay. No more stripped window transmission nylon gears.

Hi there
She looks really clean !
What exhaust system do you have , it looks custom made and really nice !
I see you have an exhaust gas sensor fitted , so what is under the hood ?
And is the other shield to protect the fuel lines or something ?
